The Verkhovna Rada will examine on May 20 the appointment of first deputy and deputy parliament speakers.
Ukrainian News learned this from the parliamentary agenda.
The Rada also intends to examine a number of bills restricting parliamentary privileges, a draft resolution on amendments to the temporary rules of procedure, the bill on the purchase of goods, work and services with government funds.
The parliament will also examine a draft resolution on election of chairs, first deputy chairs, deputy chairs, secretaries and members of the 6th convocation Verkhovna Rada committees, as well as the chairman, first deputy chairman, deputy chairs, secretary and members of Verkhovna Rada's special control commission for privatization.
Apart from this, the Rada is planning to examine issues involved in Ukraine's entry in the World Trade Organization, bills on amendment of the law on fish, other water inhabitants and foods made of them, and on veterinary medicine.
The parliament also intends to decide on putting on the agenda issues involved in the draft Labor Code, social housing fund, stimulation of the agro-industrial complex within the framework of the World Trade Organization requirements, special regimes of taxation of farmers, restoration of deportees' rights.
The parliament will also examine the bill on ratification of the agreement of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of Denmark on readmission of people.
As Ukrainian News reported, the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction said it was ready to support any candidacy for the post of first deputy parliament speaker, to be set forth by the Party of Regions faction.
Parliament Speaker Arsenii Yatseniuk is calling on parliamentary factions for deciding as soon as possible on the date of election of first deputy and deputy parliament speakers.
