Kyiv's Pecherskyi district court has allowed for challenge of judge Ivan Mosendz, petitioned by lawyers of former transport and communication minister Mykola Rudkovskyi and appointed Oleksandr Melnyk instead of him to hold preliminary hearing the case on embezzlement of state funds by Rudkovskyi.
Ukrainian News has learned this from Rudkovskyi's press secretary Viktoria Butenko.
She also said that Rudkovskyi hopes for unbiased consideration in the case.
At the same time Butenko could not say when the next hearing of the case is held.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in April Kyiv Pecherskyi district court suspended preliminary hearing of the case upon violations by former transport and communication minister Mykola Rudkovskyi until consideration of judge Ivan Mosendz challenge required by ex-minister's lawyers.
Kyiv city prosecutor's office had sent a criminal case upon state property embezzlement by former transport and communication minister Mykola Rudkovskyi to court.
On February 19, the Security Service of Ukraine expressed confidence in inevitability of Rudkovskyi's punishment.
In December 2007, the Security Service of Ukraine called Rudkovskyi for questioning in the frames of investigation into the case upon embezzlement of UAH 390,000 by the Transport and Communication Ministry.
In late November 2007, the Security Service of Ukraine opened a criminal case upon embezzlement of UAH 0.4 million by officials of one of the state enterprises of the Transport and Communication Ministry.
