Candidate for Kyiv mayor Mykola Katerynchuk is requiring Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district court to recognize unlawful actions of ICTV channel and candidate for Kyiv municipal council deputy Yurii Lutsenko.
Katerynchuk's press service has announced this.
Besides, Katerynchuk demands that the court oblige ICTV and Lutsenko in future abstain from spreading deliberately untrue information.
The Bloc of Mykola Katerynchuk sued ICTV and Lutsenko too.
May 14 Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district court launched proceedings in both suits.
The first hearing in this case is held on Monday, May 19, at 2:30 p.m.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Lutsenko said on ICTV that Katerynchuk technically is mayor candidate of incumbent mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi.
Katerynchuk denies these accusations.
Campaigning in the election started on March 26.
Kyiv mayoral and municipal council elections will take place on May 25.
There are seventy-five candidates for Kyiv mayor and thirty-seven parties and blocs for Kyiv council.
