Yuschenko Invites British Businessmen To Actively Invest In Ukrainian Economy (08:47, Friday, May 16, 2008)

President Viktor Yuschenko has invited British businessmen to actively invest in the Ukrainian economy

Ukrainian News learned this from the presidential press service.

"I would like to request you to build up your presence in Ukraine as much as you can," Yuschenko said, speaking to businessmen.

He thanked those British businessmen who run projects in Ukraine for their contribution to the economic development.

The President pointed to big opportunities for investors with a view to preparations for the final matches of the European Football Championship 2012 that go along with the need to develop sports, tourist and transport infrastructures and also public service centers in Ukraine.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Yuschenko came to Great Britain for a two-day visit on May 14.
