Ukraine expects to approve a concept for creating a Baltic-Black Sea-Caspian energy transit community on May 23 during the summit on energy security that will take place in Kyiv.

The presidential press service announced this in a statement.

According to the statement, the concept is a document that outlines further actions aimed at realizing the project for creation of a Euro-Asian oil transport corridor on the basis of the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline.

Moreover, the Kyiv declaration on energy security is expected to be signed at the summit.

several documents are planned for signing at the corporate level during the international energy forum that will be held as part of the summit, including documents on cooperation in the area of transportation of crude oil.

Moreover, the preliminary conclusions of the feasibility studies for the project for extension of the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline to Plock (Poland) with construction of eastward and westward branches, the results of market search of the markets of petroleum products in Ukraine and neighboring countries, and Ukraine's proposals on creation a Baltic-Black Sea-Caspian energy area are expected to be considered at the forum.

Delegations from Azerbaijan, Russia, Georgia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Romania, Moldova, and other countries of the Baltic-Black Sea-Caspian region are expected to attend the summit.

The summit will take place from May 22 to 23.
