Beer imports rose by 41% or 814,880 liters in March, compared to February, to 2,803,670 liters for USD 2.09 million.
This was disclosed in a statement of the State Statistics Committee.
In March, as well as in the previous month, beer was imported mainly from Russia (1,905,400 liters or 68% of the total beer imports).
In March 2008, beer imports rose by 82.4% or 1,266,160 liters, compared to March 2007.
In January-March 2008 beer imports rose by 112.3% or 3,124,720 liters compared to January-March 2007, to 5,908,460 liters for USD 4.42 million.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, beer imports rose by 78.2% or 872,800 liters in February, compared to January, to 1,988,790 liters for USD 1.51 million.
Beer imports fell by 40.4% or 7,801,80 liters in 2007, compared to 2006, to 11,490,10 liters for USD 7.27 million.
