The Kyiv Police Department has summoned Kyiv's Mayor Leonid Chernovetskyi to appear at the office of its unit for fighting organized crime on May 15 to familiarize himself with an administrative protocol that was filed against him for allegedly violating the law on fighting corruption.
Olena Melnyk, the spokeswoman for the Kyiv Police Department's unit for fighting organized crime, announced this to journalists.
According to Melnyk, Chernovetskyi was ordered to appear at 114, Horkoho Street, at 16:00 on May 15.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, police filed a criminal case against officials of the Kyiv municipal administration's main department of land resources in April on the suspicion that they forged documents when leasing an 11.2-hectare land plot worth UAH 100 million.
