The National Bank of Ukraine has admitted possibility of the official hryvnia rate revision.

NBU board representative disclosed this to Ukrainian News.

"We plan to revise it a bit. When the rate is 5.05 and fluctuations remain within one percent, we may not respond, but today, it is fluctuating much lower, and we have to respond," he said.

NBU representative did not specify terms for revision of the official rates, however supposed that the rate will be strengthened.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the NBU has been retaining the hryvnia rate at the level of UAH/USD 5.0500 since April 2005.
