The Bloc of Leonid Chernovetskyi has accused the Bloc of Lytvyn of bribing voters.
Ukrainian News learned this from the Chernovetskyi Bloc's press service, which referred to bloc representative Serhii Berezenko.
"Yesterday [on May 10] a TV camera of the Kyiv television company recorded the episode when activists of the Lytvyn Bloc gave money to voters in the premises of the secondary school at 130 Horkoho Street," the press service quoted Berezenko as saying.
He was indignant at the way the political forces are trying to win support of Kyivans.
The Bloc of Chernovetskyi did not say what the sum was or what it will do with this information.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, candidate mayor Mykola Katerynchuk requested voters to testify in court about attempts of bribing them by participants in the Kyiv mayoral and municipal council elections.
In keeping with the Law on Election of Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, the Crimean Autonomous Republic and Local Councils; Village, Town and City Chairpersons, territorial election commissions can cancel registration of candidates for mayor or council deputy, including upon a court decision.
A court decision must give evidences of vote buying by a candidate in person or other persons on his/her errand.
Giving voters money, free or cheap goods and services, securities, loans, lottery tickets, and other material valuables is referred to as vote buying.
