Parliamentary deputy Mykola Katerynchuk of the Our Ukraine - People's Self-Defense Bloc faction, leader of the same-name bloc and Kyiv mayor candidate, is urging electors to testify in court attempts of bribing them by participants in Kyiv mayoral and municipal council elections.
He has announced this at a meeting with residents of Solomianskyi district of Kyiv.
"I appeal for all the responsible citizens to testify such [bribery] facts and we'll be able to remove such candidates from the election race," said Katerynchuk.
He told that he regularly receives information from different sources on different political forces attempting to bribe electors.
He is sure, this information is true and the fact of bribery can be proven in court with Kyivans' help.
The Bloc of Katerynchuk is ready to resort to trial of bribery of voters attempts.
As Ukrainian News reported before, in keeping with the law "On electing deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, Crimean Autonomous Republic, local councils, and village, settlement, and city chairpersons" territorial election commissions can cancel registration of candidates for mayor or council deputy, including on ground of court order.
Such an order must establish the fact of bribing voters by the candidate personally or other persons on his/her errand.
Bribery is providing voters with money, free or discounted goods and services, securities, loans, lotteries, and other material valuables.
