Municipal enterprise Kyiv Subway is calling on contesters of Kyiv mayor election and to municipal council not to use subway stations and trains for propaganda.
The enterprise made this statement, the text of which Ukrainian News has.
"I want to remind to overzealous politicians... that the Kyiv Subway is meant for Kyivans and will be never used as a ground for placing political propaganda garbage," said the had of the enterprise Petro Miroshnykov.
He noted, appearing of propaganda materials in the subway is unauthorized.
In his opinion, such actions of the election headquarters demonstrate their irresponsible attitude towards municipal property.
Nevertheless, monitors in subway trains run Kyiv municipal state administration's commercials about the work it done for two years and future promises.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, elections of Kyiv mayor and to municipal council take place on May 25.
The campaigning in the elections started on March 26 will finish at 0:01 a.m. on May 23.
The Kyiv Subway was opened in 1960, it has three lines of total length of 65 kilometers and forty-five stations.
The subway carries about 2.2 million passengers a day.
