64% of respondents polled by Research&Branding Group company have said that Ukraine should not join the NATO Membership Action Plan.
This is stated in the results of the R&B poll presented in the press center of Ukrainian News.
During the poll, the respondents were asked a question whether Ukraine should join the NATO Membership Action Plan.
50% said they are sure Ukraine should not do that, 14% are more inclined to think that it is the wrong idea.
At the same time, 10% think that Ukraine should join the plan and 10% are sure that Ukraine should do that.
16% were undecided.
Moreover, 19% of respondents consider the April decision of the NATO summit in Bucharest, Romania, on Ukraine's inevitable entry to the Alliance a personal defeat of President Viktor Yuschenko; 14% a defeat of Ukraine as a state, 9% a defeat of the Ukrainian diplomacy, 9% a victory of Ukraine as a state, and 9% think of it as of Russia's victory.
At the same time, 5% think this decision of the Alliance was a personal victory of Yuschenko, 3% a defeat of Russia, and 3% think it was a victory of the Ukrainian diplomacy.
1% of respondents choose the answer 'something else,' 15% took it indifferently, and 33% were undecided.
The company polled 2,000 citizens in all regions of Ukraine between April 18 and April 30.
The statistical margin of error does not exceed 2.2%.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, President Viktor Yuschenko is sure that Ukraine will join the NATO Membership Action Plan next December.
On April 3, the participants of the NATO summit in Bucharest, Romania, postponed the issue of Ukraine's accession to the NATO Membership Action Plan until December.
