The Cabinet of Ministers has allowed Naftohaz Ukrainy national joint-stock company to attract loans to pay for natural gas without coordination with the Economy Ministry.
This is disclosed in the Cabinet of Ministers resolution No.421 of April 25.
The government also allowed attraction of the abovementioned funds from one creditor.
Besides, the government urged Naftohaz Ukrainy to include volumes of gas received from Ukrnafta company in January 2007 and January-March 2008 into the volumes of the gas transport system of Ukraine and redeem commitments to the state.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in compliance with Naftohaz Ukrainy's financial plan endorsed by the Cabinet of Ministers for 2008, the company can attract UAH 7,145.626 million of loans to pay for natural gas and its pumping into the underground gas storage facilities.
Earlier, all loans attracted by the company had had to be coordinated with the Finance Ministry and the Economy Ministry.
Naftohaz Ukrainy monopolizes gas transportation via transit gas pipelines, oil transportation via oil pipelines, and is also the largest producer and seller of gas and the largest producer of oil in Ukraine.
