Tymoshenko Urges Poland To Boost Investment In Ukraine (13:16, Friday, March 28, 2008)

Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko has urged Poland to boost investment in Ukraine.

Tymoshenko gave the position of the Ukrainian government at a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

"Ukraine is open for Polish investment. We will do our utmost to develop such cooperation," Tymoshenko said.

Tymoshenko announced that Prime Minister Tusk and the Ukrainian prime minister would take part in a Ukrainian-Polish business forum in Kyiv in the afternoon.

Tymoshenko praised the pace of the development of the mutual trade, which grew by 30% in 2007.

She thanked Poland for its support to Ukraine's integration in the European Union.

Tymoshenko voiced a hope that a meeting between the two delegations would be effective.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukraine and Poland are to sign during Tusk's visit to Ukraine an agreement on local border traffic and an agreement on joint holding of the Euro 2012 European Football Championship finals.
