President Viktor Yuschenko has expressed his condolences to the State Border Service, the families and loved ones of the victims killed when the State Border Service's Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Odesa region.

Ukrainian News learned this from the presidential press service.

"I share the sorrow and grief of the families of the victims. Please, accept my sincere condolences. I would like to assure that the government agencies have made the necessary steps to provide aid to the families who have suffered as a result of this tragedy," Yuschenko said.

The President ordered the Cabinet of Ministers to adopt exhaustive measures to overcome the consequences of the tragedy and provide the necessary aid to the victims.

The Head of State has sent a corresponding letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
