Prosecutors Open Criminal Case Upon Fact Of Border Service's Mi-8 Helicopter Crash In Odesa Region (08:59, Friday, March 28, 2008)

Military prosecutor's office of the southern region has opened a criminal case upon the fact of crash of the State Border Service's Mi-8 helicopter in Odesa region.

This follows from a statement made by the Prosecutor-General's Office press service.

The case was filed on the Penal Code's Article 416 (Violation of flight / flight preparation rules).

Military prosecutor of the southern region Mykola Feschuk heads the investigatory operational group, which left for the accident place to investigate in the causes of the wreck.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, rescuers found bodies of thirteen people who were on board of the State Border Service's Mi-8 helicopter crashed in Odesa region

The Cabinet of Ministers set up a governmental commission to investigate causes of the crash of the Border Service's Mi-8 helicopter.

March 27 at about 11:30 AM the Mi-8 helicopter of the State Border Service crashed in Odesa region.
