The State Customs Service and ten companies operating on the Ukrainian market of oil and oil products have signed a cooperation memo.
Ukrainian News learned this from a statement by the press service of the State Customs Service.
State Customs Service Chairman Valerii Khoroshkovskyi and heads of the ten companies signed the memo on March 26.
Khoroshkovskyi said the memo would facilitate the fight against shadow schemes of imports of oil and oil products in Ukraine.
"We strive to completely overcome the shadow schemes of imports of oil products in Ukraine. I am sure that the transparent work of the Customs Service and the cooperation with you will build a reliable barrier on the way of supplies to the consumer market of Ukraine of goods without paying taxes and dues set by the legislation," he said.
The memo reads that the market operators commit to provide during the customs clearance information to the State Customs Service on the volumes of imports of oil products for future periods, information from foreign trade and exchange organizations on the prices of energy carriers and formulas revealing the principles of the oil products price formation.
The State Customs Service commits to react to appeals from the market participants.
The memo will be in effect one year.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Verkhovna Rada Deputy of the Party of Regions faction and Former Fuel and Energy Minister Yurii Boiko criticized the government of Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko for unprofessional policy on the market of oil and oil products.
On March 19, Fuel and Energy Minister Yurii Prodan said the Cabinet of Ministers intended to sign a memo on partnership with the largest operators on the market of oil and oil products of Ukraine between March 24 and March 28.
