The Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc intends to determine its candidate for the post of Kyiv mayor on March 31.
Parliamentary Deputy Andrii Portnov of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc announced this on the Studio 1+1 television channel late on March 25.
"We will announce our candidate on March 31," he said.
Portnov also said that he could not yet speak about any candidates, but he expressed confidence that the bloc would nominate a single candidate.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Parliamentary Deputy Oleh Liashko of the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc has forecast that the bloc will nominate First Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Turchynov as its candidate for the post of Kyiv mayor.
Campaigning in the early mayoral and municipal council elections in Kyiv started on Wednesday, March 25.
The parliament has scheduled early elections of the Kyiv mayor and deputies of the Kyiv municipal council for May 25.
